A 1988 La Musica D’Italia Grand Opera music box by Franklin Mint. This rare music box features rosewood and mahogany with eight various wood inlays to the finely crafted ornate exterior. The interior features a mirror under the lid and a hinged glass cover over the musical fittings. The musical movement was created by Reuge of Switzerland and is made of solid brass. The musical program features nine songs by iconic Italian classical musicians Verdi, Puccini, and Rossini. The music box has a maker’s plaque to the underside, ornate brass handles to either side, and ornate brass feet.
