Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Shiraz wool prayer rug. This rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of sapphire, wheat, mahogany, coral, charcoal, and ivory. The sapphire hued field features a central mirhab with diamond medallions and hooked forms, along with tree of life motifs, and florettes. Framing the field is a Yomut-style main border, and a pair of Hamadan guard borders. Finishing this finely woven rug are double overcast selvedges and a kilim skirt with a wool warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
