Vintage Hand-Knotted Caucasian Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Caucasian wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, indigo, sand, cerulean, clementine, and black. The cranberry colored stepped lozenge begins with a pair of branched medallions with serrated motifs, along with quatrefoil arrows, and an amulet form to each end. The lozenge is grounded in indigo, and also features an all-over pattern of floral motifs. Framing the field is a main palmette border, along with a running water guard border, and a geometrically patterned guard border with comb forms. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
