Item Details
A power-loomed Indo-Persian Heriz-style wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, rust, indigo, wheat, sky blue, emerald, apricot, and sepia. The ivory colored stepped and crenelated lozenge begins with a large star medallion, along with palmettes, leaves, and branched forms. The lozenge is grounded by a rust hued field and it features small spandrels, and rectilinear vine-work. Framing the field is a stylized samovar main border, along with a pair of chained florette guard borders. Finishing this rug are serged edges and a cotton fringe to the ends, and it is unlabeled.
