Antique Herschede Hall Grandmother Clock

An early 1900’s Herschede Hall Clock Company Grandmother clock with Canterbury Westminster chimes and pretty etched metal clock face housed within a glass door. The case of the clock is crafted with mixed hardwoods stained with a dark wood finish. The clock has Herschede symphony rods, pendulum and key are present. There is a brass plaque present on the inside of the door which states that it was a Grand Prize Winner at the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition. This World’s fair was held in San Francisco between March 2, 1915 through December 4, 1915. Today, the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco is the sole surviving building from the event.

Condition

consistent with age and at present clock is not working. The wood clock case has some spots on the finish, needs to be cleaned. The case is cracked in the lower base section and the last known service on the clock was in 2000.
