A Chinese porcelain jardiniere with base. The Chinese export pot features a hand-painted image of a clipper ship with peach, red and coral tone floral details throughout on a white ground. It has a pointed oval shape with flat rim and creased sides. It rests on a separate white porcelain footed porcelain base. the jardiniere presents no apparent maker’s marks.
