Hand-Knotted Persian Sarouk Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Sarouk style wool area carpet. The rug has a large center medallion of repeating florals and botanicals on a light blue background centered on a large garnet field of densely placed palmettes, florals, and interconnecting vines in a palette of navy, light blue, cream, wheat, ochre, and melon. The field has large floral spandrels to the corners and is framed by a wide floral border and narrow allied borders in complementary palettes. It has overcast edges and cropped cotton warp fringe to each end. It is unlabeled.
