Converted Antique Kerosene Lamp
Item Details
A converted antique kerosene lamp. The lamp has a white glass dome shade that rest on a brass shade holder. It has one light socket, and features an embossed brass bowl with a wick raiser knob and marked ‘The Non-Explosive Lamp’. The bowl rests on an ornate copper footed base with a power switch. The Cleveland Non Explosive Lamp Company was established in Cleveland, Ohio in 1868, as a response to more dangerous styles of kerosene lamps that caused injury when they overheated and exploded.
