1884 John Septimus Beresford and 1909 Gorham Sterling Lidded Crystal Bottles

A pairing of antique crystal bottles with sterling silver lids. This includes an inkwell from 1909 by Gorham, featuring a hinged sterling silver lid with a personalized engraved top that is attached to a square crystal base with a cut designed underside. It is marked to the side of the lid with the three pseudo hallmarks alongside ‘Sterling D1858’ and a 1909 date mark. Also presented is a cut crystal bottle with a sterling lid from 1884 by British maker John Septimus Beresford of London. The lid features an embossed outdoor scene with buildings to its top, and it is stamped with the ‘JSB’ maker’s mark alongside four hallmarks for a Queen Victoria duty mark, sterling, 1884, and London.
