A finely hand-knotted Persian Tabriz wool area rug. This lovely rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, indigo, camel, sky blue, ivory, and gold. The cranberry colored field features a large central pendant medallion with ornate floral motifs throughout, along with scrolling vines, boteh motifs, and a large palmette to each spandrel. Framing the field is a stylized herati main border, with floral meander guard borders, and geometrically patterned minor borders. Finishing the field are overcast selvedges and an ivory warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
