Item Details

An octagonal hand-knotted Indo-Persian Bidjar accent rug. It features a diamond-shaped central pendant medallion in a palette of rose, scarlet, cream, and sky blue. The central medallion is surrounded by a pattern of palmettes and floral elements with lancet leaves and bouquets in olive, ruby, rose, navy, pale blue, and taupe. It has a primary border of lotus flowers and palmettes on a scarlet ground, framed by sawtooth guard borders in the field colors. The rug has overcast edges and delicate hand-knotted warp fringe and includes label to the underside.
