An early 20th-century color lithograph print on paper titled The High Mettled Racer: The Death after an aquatint by Henry Thomas Alken Sr. (1785 – 1851) and Thomas Sutherland, originally published in 1821 by S. & J. Fuller. The piece is the final scene in The High Mettled Racer series, depicting the tragic end of a 19th-century race horse. It includes artist and title information printed in plate along the lower margin. The print is presented unframed.

- severe discoloration to image; staining present to image surface; wear to edges and corners; writing in graphite at the bottom right.
