A vintage, hand-knotted Persian Kashan area rug. This wool rug features a center medallion on a lozenge-shaped field, populated by floral and geometric motifs, all in a palette of blue, aqua, indigo, crimson and cream. The field is bounded by indigo spandrels and surrounded by a Samovar major border within carnation meander minor borders. The far ends have white fringe, and the rug is tagged underneath.
