A women’s late 19th century Parisian finely handmade and embroidered cape. This exquisite cape is in rust and features a high neck with a draping capelet and multicolor embroidery in a floral and paisley motif in red, orange, green and blue. The cape has braided rope accents and tassels, and metal hook closures. The labels read ‘A. E. Burkhardt & Co. Importer’s Cincinnati’, ‘Emile Tinget – Paris’ and “Rue du Helder, Sarah Mayer & A. Morhange Paris”.
