Hirsh Wood and Metal Wall Hangings Including "Untitled #84" and "Untitled #89"

A set of three mixed media wall hangings, created in 2013 by Heider. Included are Untitled #84, Untitled #89 and Untitled #90; each features a square panel of oxidized metal bearing a raised abstract circular geometric pattern, bordered inside a rustic wooden and metal framework. Each piece is signed, dated and titled to the verso.

Sylvia Heider’s metal wall relief works are as unique as her sensibilities. Her art is a result of expert manipulation of industrial metals, adhesives, paints and acids to control the random effects of the materials. Her work has been described as ethereal, evanescent sculpture that transcends the material with which it is laboriously crafted.

Condition

- oxidation, rust, discoloration and marks throughout each center panel; abrasions, marks and wear to wood panels; discoloration and abrasions to metal frames; items appear to be intentionally distressed.
