Item Details
A hand-knotted silk Persian Kerman prayer rug. This finely hand-knotted rug is rendered in a palette of midnight blue, cream, golden-yellow, coral, sky blue, pale gray, and red. It has a ogival mihrab arch with a hanging chandelier and a centrally located urn vase. Framing the large vase are flowering trees with song birds perched in the branches, with rabbits and cranes dotting the ground. It is framed with sawtooth line and herati pattern borders. Finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end.
