Item Details
A semi-antique finely hand-knotted Persian Heriz Serapi silk area rug. This rug is beautifully rendered in an abrashed palette of lavender, turquoise, ivory, pale yellow, cranberry, charcoal, and celadon. The ornately designed field begins with a large star pendant medallion infilled with a central floral form, along with palmettes and flowering vines. The field also features more intricate flowering vines with multiple blooms and palmettes, and is grounded with turquoise hued spandrels in coordinating patterns. Framing the field is a main flower filled herati border, as well as a pair of floral meander guard borders, and laleh abbasi minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and ends with a reinforced stitching. Unlabeled.
