A copy oil painting on canvas in the manner of Self Portrait by listed Flemish Baroque artist Peter Paul Rubens (1577 – 1640). The painting is after an original made in the 1600s in the collection of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien. The portrait depicts a Rubens in three quarter profile wearing 17th Century Dutch attire. The piece is inscribed on the back illegibly stating the artist’s name and dated 1861. The work is presented in a gold tone wood frame with a mounted picture light.

- canvas damaged, coming loose from frame; colors darkened; craquelure and paint loss overall; wear to the frame; light untested.
