Item Details
A hand-knotted Caucasian wool area rug. This rug features a sculpted ecru colored field with triple stepped diamond medallions, flanked by hooked lozenges and framed with memling guls. It has a guard border with a sawtooth pattern, an animal head patterned main border in a palette of brown, forest green, deep blue, and camel, and floral secondary borders. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and a braided ivory warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
