A limited edition etching with aquatint and hand-colored embellishments titled The Red Umbrella created by American artist Helen Kunic (20th century). The piece depicts three nuns in black and white habits walking in the rain while sharing a single red umbrella. The work is signed in graphite to the lower right, titled to the lower center and numbered to the lower left as 37 out of an edition of 95. It is matted in off-white and presented under glass in a gold tone wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso. The frame backing includes a typed label with medium, title and edition information.

Condition

- slight discoloration to paper; nicks, scratches and edge wear to frame, with chip to gesso to bottom left; tears to frame’s patterned backing paper.
