An antique etching on paper titled The Old North Church by well listed American artist Robert Shaw (1859-1912). This intaglio print depicts the historic church steeple where the American patriots famously displayed two lanterns to warn of the British troops’ arrival by sea on the night of Paul Revere’s legendary ride. The work is signed in graphite by Shaw in the lower right margin, and features a remarque image of Paul Revere on a galloping horse in the lower left margin. It is presented under glass with layered French mats in a gilt wood frame with fluted cove. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso, along with an identification label from the Gulf States Toyota Presidents Cabinet.
