An Ansonia ceramic shelf clock. The clock features a French style ceramic case with a rose pink finish and decorative painted purple, blue and pink floral design with embossed scrollwork and acanthus leaves with gilded trim throughout. Other features of the clock include a brass framed, glass front door that displays a goldtone bezel with egg and dart molding and a white ceramic face with black Roman numerals and brass hands with a brass ring on the center surrounding an open escapement and two brass key arbors. The clock features an Ansonia 8 day clock movement with chimes, a brass cover on the verso and the clock stands on scrolled feet. The clock is marked ‘Ansonia Clock Co., New York’ on the face.
