Hand-Knotted Overdyed Turkish Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Turkish overdyed area rug. This hand-knotted rug features a palette of faded denim, ivory, taupe, and rose in a Persian-inspired pattern with a central lobed pendant medallion, floral motifs, infilled spandrels, and compound borders. The outlines of some of the motifs have been embroidered in brown wool, accentuating elements of the overall design. The selvedges are overcast as are the ends which have also been serged to stabilize them.
