A Folk art painted wooden rooster sculpture by Kentucky artist Marvin Finn. The work is made in the form of abstract and stylized rooster made with primarily two-dimensional forms and a vibrantly colored surface pattern. The piece has no visible makers marks. Marvin Finn (1913 – 2007) was born in Alabama, but was a Louisville based artist when he starting producing his unique folk art in 1972.
