An antique watercolor painting on paper signed ‘M. White’. This piece depicts a lone sailboat on a river that opens up to a lake in a flat landscape. The sky is pastel with sunrise and hills rise in the distance. The piece is signed and dated 1881 to the lower right. This work is presented behind a mat and glass in a wood frame with a silver tone sight edge and wire to the verso for hanging.

Condition

- to Fair; image paper and mat areas are discolored with significant mat burn; glass is pitted; nicks and scratches around the frame.
