Enamel

A pair of enamel on copper paintings by Nikoe Takhe. The larger painting depicts a stylized orange and red seahorse surrounded by seaweed and signed to the bottom left corner. The smaller painting depicts a red and yellow flower in a green vase with yellow and green birds to the top, signed to the bottom left corner. Both pieces are backed in wood with hanging hardware.

Condition

- bottom right corner bent on taller piece; adhesive residue on verso of taller piece; backing paper bubbled up and shifted on verso of taller piece; top right corner warped on smaller piece; enamel chipped at top left on taller piece; enamel spilled over onto bottom left of taller piece.
