A 1987 lithograph on paper after Carol Hayes. The piece depicts the historic gingko tree located at the Osan Air Base in South Korea, said to have been planted in 1280. The print is rendered in black against an off-white ground and is signed in plate to the lower right, with an inscription of ‘Jinko Tree, Enheng Jenui, 1280 A.D. Osan A.R. Korea’ printed in plate to the lower left. It is double-matted in brown and red and presented under acrylic glazing in a black wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso. The item includes a color photograph of the tree and a label with information about its history.

Condition

- slight toning and discoloration to print and matting; wear to edges of frame; crease to top right of included photograph.
