A vintage silver plate and glass butter dish by Martin, Hall & Co. of Sheffield, England. The dish features a silver plate base with floral detailing to the edge and a raised gallery of swag and medallion detailing that holds a cut glass liner. The dish is topped with a silver plate lid with repoussé floral detailing and a cow finial. The dish is marked to the rim with the maker’s mark for Martin, Hall & Co. and ‘EPNS’.
