A watercolor painting on paper of a floral scene attributed to New York artist Louis Papp (1930). With gestural applications of pigment, the work depict iris-like blooms in violet, orange, and blue. Unsigned by the artist. This work is housed in a wood frame under acrylic glass and matting.
Louis Papp was a New York based artist known for his abstract, mixed media paintings. He was also a member of the Art Students League, a renowned and respected art school headquartered in Manhattan in the 1970’s and 80’s.

- minor scratching and scuffing to the frame.
