A copy oil painting on fabric after artist Conrad Kiesel’s composition of a woman playing a lute by someone signing the work H. DuBois. This painting depicts a woman draped in gold and salmon pink cloth, seated on ornate pillows with her back to the viewer. She turns her face while holding a wooden lute against a marbled backdrop of columns overtaken by foliage. To the lower right corner of the composition is a painted artist signature. The painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame with a handwritten tag to the verso.
