An antique Schoenau & Hoffmeister bisque and composition doll. This German made doll features a hand-painted bisque socket head with a brunette hair piece, feathered brows, inset glass eyes with painted lashes, and parted coral lips which reveal a row of teeth. Her fully jointed composition body is clad in a matching ivory colored bonnet and gown, knit knee socks, and white shoes. The back of her head is impressed with ‘5500, SH, PB (inside star symbol), dep, 12’.
