Towle "Rambler Rose" Sterling Silver Flatware Set

A sterling silver flatware set by Towle. This is in the Harold E. Nock designed Rambler Rose pattern, first introduced in 1937, which features a slightly flared handle with rose motifs down the center and to the tip. The forty-seven piece set includes seven soup spoons, eight teaspoons, a ladle, a pickle fork, seven butter spreaders, seven salad forks, and seven dinner forks, all marked ‘Towle Sterling’ to the backs of the handles. They are presented with a carving fork and knife set and seven dinner knives with sterling hollow handles. The set comes in a wooden flatware chest with brown felt-like interior lining. The total approximate weight, excluding dinner knives and carving fork and knife set with hollow handles, is 42.420 ozt.
