A set of twelve twelve first edition 1950 Wedgwood scenic plates, illustrated from the engravings of Samuel Chamberlain for Williamsburg Restoration. Each cream plate illustrates a Williamsburg building or architectural monument with floral sprays at the scalloped border and the banner reading That The Future May Learn From The Past. The set comprises the following; The Quarter, Archibald Blair’s Storehouse, The Governor’s Palace, The Magazine, The Capital, The George Wythe House, Bruton Parish Church, The Public Gaol, The Court House of 1770, The Raleigh Tavern, The St. George Tucker House, and The Wren Building. Each plate has a short written description of the historic building on the verso.
