Hand-Knotted Bokhara Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Bokhara wool area rug. The rug has been woven in a palette which includes ruby, ivory, camel, black, and sky blue. The design features vertical rows of Tekke and Chemche guls on the deep ruby field. The unresolved borders incorporate narrow floral bands and hooked devices infilled with eight-pointed stars. There are diamond lattice skirts ending in knotted fringe and the selvedges have been overcast. Unmarked.
