A selection of desktop globes. The group includes a twelve inch diameter Globemaster globe featuring a legend, an equator line, an earth’s rotation key, highly contrasted political map, longitude and latitude markers, and a brass stand with a round time dial at the North Pole and meridian measures on the semi-circle arm. The metal and wood globe tilts to match the actual tilt of the earth and sits on a round base. Also included is an Italian lacquered papier-mâché and wood globe. This piece features a lacquered papier-mâché globe covered in a reproduction antique map of the world on a base supporting a horizontal zodiac ring around the center. The base has a label on the underside which reads “Made In Italy”.
