A colored pencil drawing on board of a horse. This drawing depicts a stylized, slightly Cubist inspired rendering of a horse posed in profile, as it bucks on its hind legs while looking backwards. Black sawtooth shapes align with the top and bottom of the horse’s body. To the lower right corner is a monogrammed artist signature, reading ‘HPB’.

Condition

- wear to the edges of the board; creasing to the top right and bottom left edges; smudges throughout the surface of the drawing; to the verso, nicks and wear to the protective backing.
