A Chinese gouache painting on paper. This painting, rendered in a palette of black, gray and blue pigments, depicts a rocky, coastal landscape with a mountain range to the distance. It is stamped and marked with a block of calligraphic text to the lower right corner. It is presented in a wooden frame with an off-white fabric liner. To the verso is a paper backing and hanging hardware.

- discoloration to composition; foxing present at top right corner; discoloration to silk mat; accretions; surface stains; wear to frame; punctures to paper backing.
