A hand-knotted Persian Karaja wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, indigo, ivory, charcoal, sky blue, burnt orange, cranberry, and wheat. The crimson colored field begins with five varying shaped medallions with alternating colors in ivory and indigo, and features floral, lancette leaf, and palmette motifs throughout. Framing the field is a main chained boteh patterned border, along with rectilinear designed minor borders. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and a short wool warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
