Hand-Knotted Turkish Konya Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Turkish Konya carpet runner. This wool rug features an abrashed palette of coral, taupe, blue-grey, caramel, goldenrod and black. It begins with a vertical row of diamond medallions, each floating within diamond shapes framed with ornate leaves along with half medallions to the verge and corner spandrels. Framing the field is a main border with flower heads and stylized boteh with a carnation meander outer border in the same palette. Selvedges are double overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short ivory warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
