A hand-knotted Persian wool area rug. This rug features a central scalloped medallion with pendants in a palette of dusty pink, red, pea green, light violet, plum, and royal blue, against a crimson red field with floral spray and palmette corner treatments. It has a plum and violet main border with palmettes and foliate vines and meandering carnation secondary borders. It ends in natural warp fringe and is marked with a label to the reverse.
