A hand-knotted Persian wool area rug. This rug features a muted orange scalloped medallion having tan scrolled vines, against a deep blue main field with pendants, trimmed with serrated leaves. Other patterns include floral spray with blue and golden yellow blooms, floral vases, and tan corner spandrels with red, sage, and blue palmettes. The rug has a main border with repeating foliate medallions and guard borders with floral meander motifs. It ends in short natural warp fringe.
