A hand-knotted Anatolian wool area rug. This rug features a main red field with a central mirrored medallion. The field is adorned with stylized floral spray and corner spandrels with scrolled leaves. It has a main samovar border in olive green, ecru, muted yellow, and dark red, and is flanked by floral secondary borders and guard borders in a meandering calyx pattern. The rug is finished in short natural warp fringe.
