1905 William Comyns & Sons Sterling Silver Trinket Box
Item Details
A sterling silver trinket box from 1905 by London maker William Comyns & Sons. This piece has an oblong shape, featuring an orate hinged lid with a central vignette of people and a horse-drawn carriage that is surrounded by scrolled, floral, pierced, and bell accents. The sides of the well have a scrolled and floral border along the exterior. It is stamped along the rim with the ‘W.C’ maker’s mark alongside three hallmarks for sterling, London, and 1905. The approximate weight is 4.390 ozt.
