Tittot Chinese Pâte de Verre Medallion Figurine

A Chinese pâte de verre glass figurine by Tittot. This round piece features four Chinese characters and
a pair of dragons in relief surrounding a square hole. It bears a satin finish and rests on a clear pedestal base. It is signed to the base (琉園, 王……), dated 1999 and numbered 409 in an edition of 1999. Pâte de verre, or glass paste, utilizes the lost wax method of casting. The mold is then filled with shards of ground glass and fused in a kiln firing process which creates subtle color gradations.
