S. Kirk & Son "Quadrille" Sterling Silver Flatware Set

A sterling silver flatware set by S. Kirk & Son Co. of Baltimore, MD (active 1846-1979). This is in the Laurence Millspaugh designed Quadrille pattern, first introduced in 1950, which features a shaped handle with scroll, floral, and foliate motifs. The eighty-six piece set includes twelve dinner forks, twelve salad forks, twenty-four teaspoons, twelve soup spoons, a pierced serving spoons, a meat fork, and a ladle, all marked ‘S. Kirk & Son Sterling’ to the backs of their handles. They are presented with twelve dinner knives and eleven butter spreaders that have stainless blades and sterling hollow handles. Also included is a sterling handled pie server by Towle with a stainless blade. The set is presented in a Reed & Barton flatware chest with brown felt-like interior lining. The total approximate weight, excluding dinner forks, butter spreaders, and pie server with stainless blades, 99.090 ozt.
