A vintage hand-knotted Anatolian wool area rug. It has three diamond-form pole medallions in a palette of scarlet, blues, taupe and ivory on a cadet blue field. The field is populated by a dense pattern of endless knot palmettes and flower heads in the same colors. Compound unresolved borders frame the field, with rondels, florets and hooked diamond elements in the field colors. It has double overcast edges and cropped, undyed wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
