Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Malayer Carpet Runner
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Malayer carpet runner. This wool rug features hexagonal medallions and dense geometric elements including boteh, diamond forms and floral filler motifs. It is rendered in a palette of pink, aqua, taupe, red, navy, ivory and mint. Framing the rug is a Serabend main border over ivory flanked by X and boteh guard borders grounded in red and navy. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with short ivory fringe at either end. A label on the reverse reads ‘Made in Iran.’
