Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Turkmen wool area rug. This Bokhara style rug is rendered in a palette of sand, mahogany, ivory, black, and rust. The sand colored field features a lattice of elephant’s foot guls, and chemche guls, while framed in a main cruciform border, along with a pair of boteh patterned guard borders. The ends feature a Tekke style elem panel, and finish with overcast selvedges and a short warp fringe to the ends as well. It is labeled to the underside.
