Item Details

A hand-knotted Turkish silk accent rug. This rug features a red, scalloped medallion inside of a larger cream lozenge with an all-over herati pattern in a palette green, muted blue, red, and light brown. It has a main resolved border with palmettes, vines, and lobed flowers and meandering carnation secondary borders. An inscription has been woven into a cartouche in the kilim skirt at one end.
