Contemporary Slant Front Secretary Desk with Carved Trim
Item Details
A slant front secretary desk made in Peru. The desk features a rectangular top over a slant front that opens to reveal a work surface and a fitted interior with several shelves, compartments, and drawers. Peruvian mahogany and hand tooled leather. Below the slant front is a case with two aligned drawers with brass toned knobs over two cabinet doors. Machine cut carved trim of scrolling vines and leaves enlivens the piece throughout. It rests on a plinth base. There are no visible maker’s marks.
